Product Profile: Dance Bag Tags & Key Chains
We introduced our Dance Bag Tags and Key Chains in 2010 as a unique way for dancers to distinguish their gear from the rest. They can be used to help keep your dance gear (or any gear!) organized with name and contact information. Or they can simply be a way to adorn your dance bag or back pack with our original dance-themed artwork. These items are popular gifts for performances and recitals too!
A Little Background
When these items were first introduced, we began with a handful of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Nutcracker Ballet designs. The following year we added more character designs for The Nutcracker Ballet and expanded the designs to include a variety of characters from other ballet performances. Dance Bag Tags and Key Chains are available in royal blue, purple, and red. Key Chains can hold up to 30 characters of custom text on the back while Bag Tags can have up to 5 lines of text with about 25 characters per line.

How are Dance Bag Tags and Key Chains made?
We purchase the anodized aluminum shapes from our supplier based in New England. The ball chains for the bag tags and key ring parts are also purchased from a New England supplier. Upon order placement, we set-up the text with computer graphic software and using a template file that corresponds to a jig we made to place the metal shapes in our laser-engraver. Each side of the metal shapes is engraved one at a time (usually in groups inside the appropriate jig). Once both sides have been engraved, ball chains are attached to Dance Bag Tags and key rings are attached to the key chain shapes. Once everything is inspected for quality, each tag and key chain is packaged in a clear zip-loc and prepared for shipment.
New Preview Tool
New to Dance Bag Tags is our Preview Tool. This interactive tool lets you see how the text will look on your tag before you buy it! Five font choices are also available. We recommend using 5 lines of text or less for best readability. Custom text is then stored inside the preview file and sent to us ready to be engraved. Since all text is stored in this file, the text will not appear in your shopping cart. Click on any Dance Bag Tag item to check it out!
